🚗 How to film your car floor
We know most people don’t like reading long guides — so we kept this page short. It takes about 2 minutes to read from start to finish.
We use your video to build a 3D model of your vehicle’s floor, which allows us to design mats that fit your car perfectly. A clear, stable video = perfectly fitting mats. A blurry, shaky, or overexposed video = we won’t be able to make them.

What’s in Your Kit
We’ve included two tools to help us capture accurate measurements:
① Stickers with QR codes
Place them randomly across your car’s floor before filming.
② Mini flashlight + clear rubber band
Wrap the rubber band around your phone to secure the flashlight to the back. Turn it on before you start filming.
How to Film
Film in landscape mode (horizontal).
Move your phone slowly and steadily — no sudden direction changes.
Use this pattern throughout: far → close → far → close, repeating as you move across each area.
Make sure you cover every part of the floor:
-
Main floor area
-
Under the seats
-
Along the seat tracks
-
Behind the pedals
-
The footrest area
-
Door sills (the strip along the bottom of each door opening)
-
Side walls near the center console

Four Things to Keep in Mind
① Don’t skip any areas.
If a section is missing from the video, we won’t be able to model it — and you’ll need to reshoot.
② Film in landscape mode (horizontal).
Rotate your phone sideways before you hit record.
③ Avoid direct sunlight.
Shooting in direct sunlight causes overexposure, which makes the video unusable. Film during the day, but in a shaded spot — a garage or a shaded parking area works great.
④ Do not use the 0.5× ultra-wide lens.
We know car interiors feel tight, but the ultra-wide lens distorts the image and throws off our measurements. Stick to the standard 1× lens.
Video Guide
Once you’re done filming, you should have a total of 4 videos:
· Driver side floor
· Passenger side floor
· Second row
Please upload all 3 videos at once using the link below:
After you upload the video, please add our engineer as a friend on Facebook. If we have any questions while redesigning the mat, we’ll chat directly via Messenger.
Tips:
1. ⏩ Keep your phone steady and move slowly.
2. ❌ Don’t use the 0.5x Ultra Wide lens when shooting video.
3. ✅ When starting to film, stand outside the vehicle. Aim your phone at the car’s floor and push it forward.
